From the South:

Take the A64 towards Scarborough and exit for Pickering/Whitby/Flamingo Land, then follow the A169 to Pickering (towards Whitby.) Follow this road until you reach Pickering. At the roundabout go straight on towards Whitby and take the first (legal) turn on your left, Hatcase Lane, then straight on down until the T junction with Burgate/Castlegate. At this T junction, turn right on to Castlegate and about 10 metres up on the right, you will see Castlegate House, a large detached house set back from the road with black railing in front of it. The cottage is to the right, through an archway, behind solid dark green gates with a large sign saying Castlegate Coach House Holiday Cottage. Your parking is immediately to the left of Castlegate House on a small dead end drive.

From the North: At Thirsk take the A170 towards Scarborough and continue on this road until you reach Pickering. At the traffic lights in Pickering, turn left, then take the first right up Market Place (Pickering’s Main Street). Continue to the top of the street, then turn left on to Burgate. Continue up Burgate, which then becomes Castlegate. Ignore the turning on the right and continue up Castlegate for a few metres. On your right, look out for Castlegate House (5 Castlegate) a large detached house set back from the road with black railing in front of it. The cottage is to the right, through an archway, behind solid dark green gates with a large sign saying Castlegate Coach House Holiday Cottage. Your parking is immediately to the left of Castlegate House on a small dead end drive.
